The Advanced Rider Course (ARC) is a comprehensive training course developed by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), the content of which has been accredited by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).
The course is delivered to Associate Members through one to one mentoring and advice with one of our National Observers. All of whom have been trained by the IAM and are accredited by the Institute of Motor Industries (IMI).
You'll get one-to-one guidance from a qualified Observer, Associate Logbook online tutorials, a detailed ride report after each session, and access to IAM's online resources.
What do you get with The ARC?
For a one-off fee the course provides:
- 12 months Associate membership of the IAM
- 12 months membership of Cornwall Advanced Motorcyclists (CAM)
- A course logbook which contains all the information necessary to complete the course.
- Unlimited Observed Rides to complete the course (normally Associates take between 6 and 12 rides to attain test standard)
- The Test fee at the end of the course.
